Mailman Mailing Lists
UGCS uses Mailman for its mailing lists. You can administer a list via its web interface at https://hermes.ugcs.caltech.edu/lists/<listname>
Common List Actions
Many common list administrative tasks can be performed from the command line if you are the list owner. Command line commands are also documented in "man mailman" or at http://www.ugcs.caltech.edu/man/mailman.1.html
- Create a list
mailman create <listname>
- Remove a list
mailman delete_list <listname>
- Reset a list password
mailman reset_password <listname>
- Set spam kill level
mailman set_spam <listname> <kill level>
